Summer Reservations

The camp summer season is nine weeks long. Requests for full weeks (from Saturday to Saturday) are accommodated first; partial week requests are only considered if there are vacancies left over. Applications may reserve up to four cabins and up to 12 people. No children under the age of four are permitted, and no pets. The maximum stay is normally two weeks; an optional third week may be requested after all two-week reservations have been accommodated. However, it is often possible to make last-minute plans by calling the island phone (603-279-7626).


Three Mile Island is very popular, and reservations fill up early. All reservations postmarked between January 1 and February 1 are entered into a lottery. Reservations postmarked after February 1 are welcome, but they will only be considered after all those postmarked between January 1 and February 1 have been processed.


Fall Weekend Reservations

The Fall season includes four weekends. You may apply for as many Fall Weekends as you like, whether or not you have also applied for a Summer reservation. The process for Fall reservations coincides with that for Summer reservations (i.e., starting with submissions postmarked January 1—February 1). The Fall Weekends are slower to fill and normally a lottery has been unnecessary, but you are more likely to get your cabin choices if you reserve early.


How to Send a Reservation

To request a reservation you must mail these four items:

  1. Reservation Form (Summer and/or Fall Weekend).
  2. AMC Liability Waiver (waiver form). Up to six campers may sign on each copy of this form.
  3. Deposit For Summer reservations, $200 per person per week (50% refundable with at least 30 days' notice); for Fall Weekends, include full payment. If applicable, Summer and Fall payments should be separate checks. In either case, make the check out to "Three Mile Island A.M.C." Prices are listed here.
  4. Self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Mail the application to the Registrar at the address below. Have it postmarked between January 1 and Febuary 1 to maximize your likelihood of getting a spot during the week/s you prefer. If you are requesting both a Fall Weekend and a Summer reservation, they may be submitted in the same envelope, but please include a separate deposit check for each. Once your Summer reservation request is accepted, the deposit is 50% refundable if you provide at least 30 days' notice prior to your reservation start date. Full Summer deposits are only returned if we are unable to accommodate your request. The Fall Weekend payment may be refunded (minus a $25 processing fee), if the cancelation request is received at least 30 days prior to scheduled arrival.

Launch times

Please indicate preferred launch time with your reservation at the bottom of the form where it says "Arrival Time." Summer launch times are 9:00 AM, noon, 2:00 PM (Saturday ONLY) and 5:00 PM. Fall launch times are normally 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM on Friday and 9:00 AM on Saturday, returning after lunch on Sunday.

To receive the discounted AMC Member rate, you must provide us with your membership number.


For both Summer and Fall reservations, payment in full is required if a cancelation request is not received at least 30 days prior to scheduled arrival. Cancelation requests for Summer reservations should be sent to the Registrar (address above) until June 15, at which point they should be addressed instead to the island:

Cancelation requests for Fall Weekend reservations can be sent to the Registrar, throughout. Do not send these to the island. A Fall Weekend reservation payment will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee, as long as the cancelation request is received at least 30 days prior to scheduled arrival.


Remember that reservations postmarked specifically between January 1 and February 1 have preference. Those applications bearing a postmark before or after those dates will only be considered if places remain. Normally there are several weeks each summer that fill completely during the initial lottery. If you are not able to make your summer plans in time for the February 1 postmark date, do not be deterred. There are usually weeks with openings, and often cancelations come in during the summer itself.
